What a magnificent guitar player he was. I still have his music and listen to it occasionally. Wish he was still around and we could catch him up in some live concert. Would have been amazing!

Jimi did stuff in the studio that blew people’s minds — and still does. He, single handedly, invented the flange effect. It was originally considered a no-no to place a flanger on the take-up reel of the tape deck. This slows down the recording without slowing down the play-back (the supply reel). The result was mind-boggling. Now, of course, you can get a pedal to do that to any guitar. Think of what Jimi could do with today’s technology!

Hendrix was the greatest guitar player,if he was still around who knows what music who be like now. He was just getting started. I had his poster on my wall too.
